The United States has established the first Strategic Bitcoin Reserve.

Highlights from the Executive Order:

  • Bitcoin has never been hacked.

  • Bitcoin is “digital gold”

  • Charges the Secretaries of Treasury and Commerce to develop strategies for acquiring additional BTC.

  • The Secretary of Treasury is to deliver an evaluation of the legal and investment considerations within 60 days.
